Cous Cous Fest: 20 Years of Culture and Integration

From 16 to 25 September San Vito Lo Capo (Sicily) will host the 20th edition of the Cous Cous Fest, Festival for Cultural Integration. The much-anticipated event is the biggest festival related to a delight that connects the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean Basin.

Twelve chefs from ten Countries joined the competition: Peppe Alongi (Italy), Elsa Viana (Angola), Mohammed and Selma Herbi (France), Abibata Konate (Ivory Coast), Boaz Cohen (Israel), Zahira Fenouri (Morocco), Shady Hasbun (Palestine), Mareme Cisse (Senegal), Bilel Ouechtati and Aymen Boughanmi (Tunisia), and Marc Murphy (U.S.). Dishes will be judged by a popular jury and a technical jury, guided by the entrepreneur Joe Bastianich (co-founder of Eataly and judge in Masterchef).

The worldwide known white sandy seaside of San Vito Lo Capo is the exclusive location where both the competition and the side events will take place: tastings, cooking shows, workshops and talk shows with VIP guests are just a few of the ways cous cous will be celebrated as a symbol of peace and connection between people. After the sunset, several free entry concerts are scheduled: Jarabe de Palo, Levante, Nino Frassica, Mario Venuti, Niccolò Fabi, Fabrizio Moro, Samuel, Francesco Gabbani, Joe Bastianich Project, Dj Mario Fargetta, Paolo Migone.
